The Hot Dog in the Trash is an anomalous glitch present in the 2007 PS2 title "Meet the Robinsons". To execute the glitch, first, the player, currently present inside the Robinson family household, must travel upstairs and enter the invention room, then exit the room and head downstairs back into the lower level. Whilst in the lower level, the game disc must be swapped with Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Once the console begins to load data from the GTA disc, the player must head back upstairs into the invention room, thus successfully triggering the glitch. A short sound bite, roughly transcribed as "hot dog in the trash", will loop repeatedly. Consequently, a single, bare hot dog sausage will materialize inside the nearest trash can:

It is also possible for multiple hot dogs to appear inside the trash can, depending on how long the player allows the audio to loop.

The hot dog represents one's potential and time that has been wasted. The potential, the sustenance, what could have been, the pristine hot dog that could've been cooked and eaten, is instead thrown away. It lays inside the trash can, abandoned, discarded, reduced to nothing more than a slimy, rotting waste.
We have the time and potential to create, but we just don't. We throw it away.
